A free Preetz Public Library Card is available to residents with proof of identification and a current address.
Your card allows you to borrow books and other materials from the library. Because you are responsible for any item that anyone checks out on your card, be sure to let the library know immediately if your card is lost or stolen. (Card replacement is € 3)

Most library materials may be renewed for one more loan period if the item has not been requested by another library user. Renewals may be done by phone, mail, online internet catalog or in person.
If you are unable to locate the book you want on the shelf, ask at the reference desk and a librarian may be able to locate the book elsewhere in the library system.
If the item you want is unavailable, you may request the item be placed on hold on your library card. There is no fee for any item being held. You will be notified by phone or e-mail. The item will be held at the library for pickup for approximately 14 days from the date the notice was given.
